Paint Out for August 2019

Santa Barbara Andree Clark Bird Refuge

Los Patos Way
Saturday, August 10,2019

The hot two months are upon us just as everyone has fine tuned their skills in painting the Sea for the Maritime Show.  That doesn’t mean however that we will head for the desert.  This month the Paint Out will be at the Andree Clark Bird Refuge which is on Los Patos Way between the 101 south bound Los Patos exit and Cabrillo Blvd.  The 29 acre estuary of brackish wetland supports many species of birds.  Patos for those wondering is Spanish for ducks, thus the duck pond.  The area has walking paths and platforms for viewing.  It is supported as an Open Space by the city of Santa Barbara.

Directions.  The area is bound by Cabrillo Blvd along East Beach, the SB Zoo, and Hwy 101.  There is a south bound exit onto Los Patos way following the Milpas exit.  Those coming on 101 northbound would get off at the Hermosillo Rd exit then turning left onto Coast Village Rd.  Continue to the roundabout exiting onto E. Cabrillo Blvd. going then under 101 to the first right which will be Los Patos Rd.  There is parking next to the Estuary.

As always please sign the SCAPE liability form which will be on a silver Toyota Rav 4.  If you have any questions you can call or text Jerry at 805 8865616

Don't forget to sign the   Waiver and Release of Liability  if required.
