Explore Ecology is an environmental education nonprofit located in Santa Barbara, California that empowers our community to protect and preserve the planet with innovative environmental education and nature-based learning. We educate over 30,000 children a year, inspiring them to engage with the natural world, think critically, and experience the value of environmental stewardship. Explore Ecology programs include the Art From Scrap Creative Reuse Store, Environmental Education, Watershed Resource Center, School Gardens, and the EE Makerspace.

SCAPE shows are all volunteer run and acceptance into the show requires you to work at least a 2hr shift.

For those that can not work there is a $40 fee to help with refreshments for members that work.

                       Entries from   July 3, to September 1, 2024  12 am at 

                       Show take in -Friday September 13 -  Music academy, Lehmann Hall   at 10-11:30   

                       Friday       13  opening at  2:30    Artists Awards Reception at  5-6:30   closing at 7

                       Saturday  14  opening at 11  closing at 4 pm, pick up art at this time from 4 to 5

We are looking for some volunteers to help with publicity, and general show committee work! If you're interested, please contact me at

Scape shows are an all member  all volunteer event and when you get acceptance into a show. You are required to work at least a 2 hr. shift  many of us are there all day  if you can not work there is a requested $40 to help provide refreshments for the workers that are there.
