This year’s Gaviota Show will be held March 13 from 1pm to 8pm and March 14 from 10am to 5pm at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara Hotel and Resort. The reception and presentation of awards will be held, Friday, March 13 from 5 pm to 8pm. The event is open to the public
The entry date started on January 15 and closing date for entries is March 3. You will be notified if your work is accepted by March 8.
HOW TO ENTER THE SHOW
We will be entering our work via Online Juried Shows. They have new ownership and are there to help with any technical questions. Their website is: https://www.onlinejuriedshows.com.
On their home page, go to "Current shows" and scroll down to the SCAPE logo and show description. To enter the show and photographs of your painting, click on "Yes, I want to enter this show," and you will be given an account, if you don't already have one. From there, follow directions.
You must be a current member of SCAPE to enter. To become a member, please go to our website at scape.wildapricot.org.
Criteria. Remember your painting must be of the Gaviota Coast…that is the area south from Devereaux and Campus Point and north to Point Sal and east back to the first mountain range. Your two-dimensional work may be realistic or abstract and media can be oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, pencil, or mixed media and should not exceed 48” including the frame on the longest side. All paintings must be dry, appropriately framed or gallery wrapped, and wired for hanging. You may enter up to 6 paintings and the entry fee is $10 for each. Please bring accepted work to the Bacara Friday, from 9 to 10am on March 13.
